Raw Food Feeding Guidelines
How much to feed
The following feeding guides apply to feeding Simply Pets Raw Food as a complete food, without adding other unhealthy foods to it. Portions are based on average portion sizes; however, your pet’s requirements might vary, depending on metabolism, body type, breed, amount of exercise and age.
Bear in mind that Simply Pets Raw Foods are made from the highest quality ingredients and supplements, making the food “nutritionally dense”. It is therefore quite common for portion sizes to be far smaller than what you are used to feeding in pelleted form.
*We recommend the addition of raw meaty bones as part of the total Simply Pets Raw Food Diet.

A few notes:
- Very active, young dogs may require up to double the amounts above and often require some cooked grains, such as oats or brown rice to help satiety levels.
- Older, more sedentary dogs may require less than the guide.
- Some cats will eat raw chicken necks and chicken wings. This is highly encouraged. When given bones, they may not feel like eating their next meal. This is normal and quite acceptable.
- Some cats naturally starve themselves for 12-24 hours once a week or so. Do not be alarmed - this is also normal. They may eat grass and eliminate fur balls during this time.
